Just spotted my windscreen needs to be replaced, it's got a TON of small cracks...
The windscreen itself has a tinted sun strip actually in the glass... It's like a faded strip a couple of inches in height running across the windscreen.

So did the mk3.5 have a tinted windscreen?
If not, any place i can buy one?

As the car isnt fully comp, i'm going to have to buy a windscreen for it, but i got a friend who can fit it for me

you have to ask around mate with some car glass suppliers like auto glass, and some other smaller independant companies local to you

Auto Glass offer a like for like replacement (and something i didnt know), the car came standard with a green top tint

They want £180 quid though lol, will look else ware for cheaper but atleast i know it can be done

ied just save up the dola for auto tint to do it m8,
ive broken 5 windows in the space of 3 months ranging from 40 quid to 15 quid and ive got one left im scared of cracking lol,,

as far as im aware, the mk3 and 3.5 didnt have any tints to the windscreen, only the side windows come with green tint, and only on higher end models

and im not aware of any standard sun strips either

its possible than window companies do stock top tinted windows just incase! its all about blagging yourself one lol!
