i've been reading many old posts about which ecu's etc you need to do the 2.0 conversion but get this before i looked at this site i gathered together what i thought i would need to put the mondeo engine in my '93 2i maf, ecu, throttle body from random mondeo's around my local scrappy then bought the engine again local scrappy 60k for 175 quid (bargain) year unknown fitted all new pumps e.t.c dropped it all in the car and it fired straight up and runs fine with no alterations to the loom (pin changes) .
would this be because im using the the xr2i inlet/injection or am i just lucky cos i wondered about this edis plug/module and what it does and why my car runs ok?

if it a 16v xr2i it would run just not at its full potential

ok cool if thats the case what bits need changing and if there hassle to get am i better of going for after market management for when i build my zt?
