Wiring Kit Safety question

Postby richard_p88 on Tue Jul 11, 2006 1:00 pm

Just wondering if it is safe to run an 800w peak amplifier off an autoleads 600w (40amp) wiring kit, amp specs are as follows.

Max. power into 4 ohms: 1 x 450W
RMS power into 4 ohms: 1 x 225W
Max. power into 2 ohms: 1 x 800W
RMS power output into 2 ohms: 1 x 400W

EDIT - doesn't matter, i was outbid whilst at work.

Edit (again) - In fact the question still stands, Is it best to match up the wiring kit load to RMS or peak power?
