Wiring Location for amp

Currently wiring up my amp, but need a simple question answered, where can i thread the wire that goes to the battery through, is there like a point around the engine area that links to the interior?

EDIT: forgot to add, its a MK3

There's a rubber grommet behind the header tank on the driver's side. Pop a hole in it and stick the wire through. Access to it is easier with the header tank removed though.
