I just bought my self my mates mk2 golf gti 2L 16v
needs alot of work at the moment condition isnt great as he has let it down last two years or so,
but im up for a challenge and a new daily drive

My euro fezzy is on standstill till i get the golf on the road and working then im gonna do more work on that Fezz.

things todo next month or so

- Clean the interior
- Adjust/fix the passenger seat as it doesnt go back or forward and wobbles
- Clean the outside with a good polish
- Give it a Good engine Service
- Hand brake needs adjusting and brakes need bleeding
- Need wheels will go for standard bbs ra wheels as the ones on there atm arnt with the car
- Needs a new front drivers side wing present one is rusty and messed up
- Paint the front grill outside bit red
- Needs a new MOT!! and sort the niggles out with that that needs doing
- get some rear 6x9,front speakers, and standard cd player

- Future plans in a year or so

- Flock interior
- Roll Cage
- 2.9 vr6 engine
- Hydrolic cultch
- Big bumpers with g60 arches and spray job
- Fk coilovers
- New wheels that are 9x16s allround
- Recaro seats from a S3 in red

Only thing I will say is wont the 2.8 be a bit heavy for the car? I expect a 1.8T engine is a lot more expensive to put in though!

I know someone with a 2.8 vr6 in his mk2, its fast as fook!
My other mate has a skoda pickup and hes fitting a 2.9 into it, with plans to turbo it

vr6 engines in these are animal! i raced an auto one at the pod, car was a breaker but had an animal engine and left me looking at the back of it!

My first car was a Mk2 GTi 16V in helios blue metallic which i ran for 2 years then i got a freshly imported 212bhp Mk2 GTi G60 in metallic aubergine.
Selling that G60 was the biggest mistake i've ever made!

Only thing I will say is wont the 2.8 be a bit heavy for the car?

i love met aubergine g60s , especially with 8.5 bbs splits , u gotto love them

I need to try and find the photos it was so nice, especially in the sunshine.
Luckily for me it came with coilovers and 3pc BBS slits!
What a car! So much torque (lag-free, obviously) kept you nailed back in the electric recaros!
It did start to get a bit long having to unbelt and climb over the passenger seat to pay at the Dartford tolls like some sort of polish trucker.
So many good memories from that car!
I'm a bit depressed at the moment cos my car is in the garage and body shop and i haven't driven it for 11 weeks due to one problem after another.

some updated pics of z golf changed few things over, new grill , new front indicators,new side repeaters , new head lights, bee sting areil and proper clean up
need to polish it up though got tired lol...

its only 70mm drop

nope just need to go slow and put the car in weird postions to get over bumps lol, i do hear scraping but if you aint rubbing you aint dubbing lol
