Xr2 carb help plese
Alrite, here my situation.
I've got a late spec xr2 engine (round head carb) but the carb is pritty much f*ck'd so need a replacement. I've been told to get a dtf carb from a early xr2 (square head carb) as its a much better power spec. However i've found this on ebay and was wondering if this would be a direct replacement for my carb and also is this better than than the early spec dtf carb

If any1 can answers these questions thanks alot

yep thats everything that u need m8!
Word of warning tho, u will have to patch in a manal choke to operate this badboy, which put me off getting one in the end, cudnt be arsed with the effort of plumping the choke cable in etc or the bother of pulling it out and easing it in!
So i got a new TLDM and saw a nice boost in performance from that cause at the end of the day it was brand new and fresh as a daisy with no wear and tear!

Yea thanks m8. I jus got a email back from the owner saying about the manual choke and that a conversion kit shouldnt cost alot. Do u kno how much bhp increase this should give? Also he has set a reserve price of £120, is this worth it.
Thanks again
Thanks again
