how can u tell which are the early xr2 carbs that gave 96bhp as standard compared to the later ones which reduced the bhp figure to 90bhp?

are there any markings, codes etc?

Cheers

The top is a rounded-square, not circular (remove the airbox).

sweet cheers dude, will I need to change my airfilter housing at the same time though? I've got the flying saucer on my engine at the mo, and dont want to put the K&N back on due to it destroying my fuel economy!!!

So could I use my current airfilter hosing or will I need to source a new one for this new carb?
