xr2 in a mk3.5?

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

would a mk2 xrn lump, be a lot of trouble to put into my m reg mk3.5 1.1??
how much wud it cost to buy the engine it self? fitting?? and what parts would have to be repleaced to support the bigger engine?

depends how much you know about mechanics, wouldnt be easy, but cant see it being impossible either. You could get a xr2 lump from the scrappy for about £200 on avergae something like that. you would have to upgrade engine mounts,shocks,brakes, dunno about the drive shaft, thats about the extent of my knowledge hope someone else could help, me thinks excursion would be the man to ask :smile:

Kewel.

Easy nuff to do then but you lose (a) the immobiliser and (b) the plug it in and drive it off-able-ness of injection - carbs tend to take a bit of warming up.

Why not Zetec?? :???:

you tosser of course it would be better its a new engine fuel injected. be more reliable, of course it would be better :razz:
