XR2 or 1.6S engine into 1.1L engine bay?

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

Postby Project on Mon Dec 11, 2000 7:55 am

How much work would be involved to drop the 1.6CVH engine into the Mk3 engine bay - they are all carburetted models. Mine has electronic distribution at the moment, but that's not likely to stop me from putting a distributor on it, is it? What about mounting points and driveshafts????

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

CheeRS

Alex

1.6 s is the same as xr2 apart from the carb , this should be changed anyway, cause there s***e. Remember to get a manual choke with the pre 86 spec jets cause there bigger.

Maybe it's just as well you're not gonna - I don't need my engine rechristening ;-)

Good luck with it, and when you're finished with her, send the little minx round to mine - I need someone to check the tightness of my engine-nuts....

;-)
