Re: my new run around, and my next project, mk2 xr2
nope nothing to update as i dont have new wheels
the xr2 in the sig is the xr2 i had before my frst, and yes, the wheels on that xr2 are on the frst now and will be going back on my xr2, hence why its in the sig like that.
only update i have is the fact i got another xr2 on thr 31st of dec, getting it for nothing as its a scrapper due to rust and that, but there is a catch.
the shocks on it are spax all round, but the guy wants them for his other xr2 that his selling, along with the exhaust, its a std exhaust, but the one without the little bit exta hanging out, people that know there xr2's will know what i mean, so baiscly, if i take them off this blue one (the scrapper) and fit them to his grey one i can have the blue, but i also get the std shocks and exhaust from his grey one so i still end up with a complete car as such, apart from its missing the front seats, but he did put in a recaro from a 90 spec S2 for me and i can keep that as the cloth has gone all saggy on the bottm, but i think that could be a easy fix, wanna buy it shaun
but as said mate, the frst is gunna be finished before any work starts on the xr2, which is a shame as i know of a running 2 litre monedo auto with a fcked gearbox going for £100 ono and the car is complete, but i dont have 3100 right now and if i did i gotta use it on my rs

Re: my new run around, and my next project, mk2 xr2
cheers guys, i didnt do the sig, and it prob wont stay for long as im sure something better can be done.
them wheels are still on my frst at the mo, and its not a photo shop, i owned them wheels before the rs and they were fitted to my xr2 i had before the frst
the bit in the sig was taken from the pic below back in summer of 98
and i will be making this one look as good as that one did back in 98 (or better ), i know the wheels are not everyone cup of tea but they were got for the xr2 at the time and i think they suit the xr2 real well, even if the fcukers are 7 inch wide and scraped a bit , but they look better on the xr2 than they do on my rs i must say.
anyway, started stripping a xr2 today and got a random shot of my xr2 too so here they are
as it started (at 12.30pm, yeah bit of a late start )
and as it was left at just gone 3 when we decied to fock off as wind was getting really bitter.
on and i did have a few fag breaks and we stopped for lunch for 20 mins too
apart from fuel lines the engines ready to drop out, via rope, a long bit of wood and me and a mate lifting
fuels lines still conneted as the reast of the front is going to be ground off tomorrow to get the engine out nice and easy, then its tank off and the thing rolled on its side/ roof to get the stuff off the under side.
anyway,. im not gunna clog up this thread with that blue one, but i will post a pic of what it will finish up like

Re: my new run around, and my next project, mk2 xr2
well i know i said i didnt wanna clog this thread up with the blue one but seeing as some of the bits coming off it will be for my red one i may as well.
few hours on it today, was bloody bitter cold and started snowing at one point, but still, got done what was needed, engine out, rear shocks off and exhaust off.
its bad how long things take when you freezing ya b0llocks off, but still, untill i find a home for the bits ive taken off so far i can tip the fcuker on its roof to get the stuff off under it
anyway, no messing about, the engine was lifted out by me and a mate, no pu$$y crane in site
thats all for now, thought i would post them up for you all to have a laugh at

well, seeing the semi classic nature of the veee-hicle, with its custom paint job and racing rust, and the newly modifyed front to accept a large capicty interccoler, and the added incorperated "flared" arch,
5 grand!

Re: my new run around, and my next project, mk2 xr2
not much of a update, but i have a set of quad lights lined up for the xr2, although i shouldnt be getting them due to needing the money to get the rs finished i cant pass them up as they dont come up very ofton, all i got to do now is find the money for them
the blue xr2 is nearly finished, just the dash and glass etc to take out and some bits of the shell to chop off then its gone.
this is what a red xr2 looks like with quad lights, it seems its a love hate thing, you love them or you dont, me, i think they look the nuts and seeing as my current head lights are about as good as a candle just about to burn out they should provide some good lighting
let me know if you love or hate them, would be interesting to know what people think
