Ahh right. Its just i know of someone who had 8 inch on there xr2 and fully wound up only just sat right.
On the mk1 i had to get 10 inch springs just to get the arch off the tyre

Re: Xr2 zetec project update lowered n new wheels fitted 31/10
done a bit this weekend . getting bit cold in the garage now
removed the zaust manifold to weld the lamba in so hopefully she will be runnin better soon
wired in the gauges and plumed the oil pressure senser just have to weld the water temp sender boss in
made a really good job of the gauges all soldered n heat shrinked and theres just 2 plugs and u can remove the whole lot
made up 2 brace bars for the mondeo servo these have made a big difference i stamp on the break and the servo does not move this should improve brake feel .
top one
bottom one
also knocked up some floor mats for the footwells out of 2mm chequerplate
used heavy duty velcro to attach them to the floor so easy to remove to clean ect
thats all for now....

Re: Xr2 zetec project update 27/1 mot,d :-)
Bit of an update nothing major accept passing it's mot no advisories
Iv done s**t loads but dont really have any pics
Found n fitted front screen
P clipped fuel lines
Got all electrics working everything works now
Made a cover for the hole in the back for the fuel pump
fitted tow strap
Adjusted mondy servo so pedals sit at propper hight now
Welded boss in magnex manifold for lamba
Gave the manifold a light polish
Cut the first silencer out of my magnex and replace it with pipe ( I did this for clearance purposes now my zaust ain't so low to the floor
Polished my tail pipe looks loads better was s**t up
Then had the tracking done and mot
Brought all new drainage plugs looks lot better plus I'd broken most of the originals
Ready for mot
Next thing is clutch release bearing as it's loud as feck n a bit of driving:-)

Re: Xr2 zetec project update 27/1 mot,d :-)
hmm sensor to fault maybe?
its got the recipe to keep up with a standard RST, the 4 branch should free it up big time
the air intake temp sensor seems to play havok when they go wrong, Bic™ to replace though

Update time
Right. Since mot iv did about 100 miles in 2 days the car was all good apart from the clutch
The release bearing was so noisy . I was pretty pissed off cuz I fitted a new clutch but forgot all about the bearing . Anyway I
Thought stuff it removed the box at the weekend and while it was off I sorced an LSD box and some vibratechnic mounts . Refitted all
Today done 40 miles all seems good . The box Seems a little noisy in 5th though
Anyway here s a few pics from my journey today
That's it for now I love the way it drives the brakes are really really good on the road
Next I need some kinda sunstrip as the sun can be a pain
