well as you know its painted on and the final bit is a trim tape, but ford done sell it no more, and a masked up edge line in black on red, isnt going to be smoothed out with compound very well, so your need to get some trim tape from somewhere mate, them mask up and paint then tape over the joint like std.

use a fine line tape to mask up, that thin blue stuff is good stuff, think its made by 3M

this stuff

That looks quality!

Some good workmanship going into this.

This bumper rehydrate stuff, what is this and where can it be obtained? I would'nt mind doing the same to mine.

Bout 3 hours . Was a good condition bumper any way just needed a good session . Ya can't really rub em down because the lumpy texture will be lost n I don't think it would look as good . The red strip I washed t cutted n pollished same as reflectors

The 3m fine line is pretty much the same colour as normal masking tape it just feels very plasticy almost like electrical tape . The pin stripe was off eBay il get u a link when I'm on the laptop . I brought some but it would not go round corners

nice one mate.
thats the same fine line stuff i got in the workshop, although not used it, but ive used the wider stuff before, although i didnt rate it massively, mine you, it didnt curve enough for what i was using it for so my fault really.

that pin stripe, you say that doesnt curve?

Awesome project you got going here, massive fan of the mk2's although never bought one myself yet. Maybe one day!

Keep up the good work, nice to see another one back rust free! (Also like the scrappage scheme survivor sticker).
