blimey ! :o

its been a while since i saw the progress on this. Paint work is beyond amazing even if it is a red car.
cant help thinking it would look better with some amber indicators :)

ambers are for the weak lol . i neeeeeeeeed wheels that look tuff but also handle well

Well at ET16 and 6J, they're going to stick out 16mm more than standard XR2 wheels which are ET32 and 6J if I remember rightly? Or are the originals 5.5J? If so, then they may stick out a bit more!

Depends how low and stiff you're going to go, and how close the original wheels were to the arches already?

just a small update

took delivery of these today . new from midland wheels with a set of bolts

chose these because there the best looking 6j wheels . the 7j wheels look better but dont want the hassle

On the rear with the fiesta mk6 steels my mk2 is running im having to use 12mm hub centric spacers to allow clearance from the trailing arms rubbing the tyres.
Up the front i use 5mm spacers to allow clearance from the shock cup rubbing the tyre.

6j wheels will defo give you some issues so choose your tyres carefully !

i wanted small wheels to help my handleing as il be using it for track days aswell as odd road use. but like i said b4 i can change wheels at anytime
thats the good thing about wheels lol.

probably go get the rubber on friday from midland wheels but wheels wont be fitted till i have fitted all powerflex bushes adjustable rear panhard rod and lowered it some moe.

bit of an update fellas

ordered some gaz coilovers so bin gettin the car s suspension and brakin sorted

ordered new callipers today and just recieved new goodridge braided brake lines

while the car was up in the air iv removed all the suspension and gave the whole underside another thin coat of wax oil

wired the front spots up made a good job of them very neat

got a brand new numberplate light from ford ya cant really tell in the pic but it looks a load better

also brought a luke tow strap

hopefully my shocks n springs should be here in the next week then il order my full powerflex kit and get it all rolling again

Same wheels ive. got on the mk1, but mine are 14x6. :Q

Mines dropped on coilies too but i didnt need an adjustable rod to sort the rear out

bit of an update ppl

got my dash back last week n fitted it . whent back in quite easy it looks really good pictures dont do it justice

this allowed me to get the front bit of cage in . glad it fitted as i never trial fitted it after welding the mountin plates in

also had my carriers blasted all good to go with new calipers and braided lines

and recieved full bush kit from floflex not they look really good n alto fit really well so we will see how they go

Fit coilovers fit all breaks refurb rear hubs new bearings cylinders shoes handbrake cable ect fit bushes then gauges n foot plates . Nothing exspensive left .hopefully put a focus rs engine in it next winter

update time

bin bit busy last week or so

firstly removed rear drums and backing plates to get them cleaned so i could paint em up ready for all new bearings shoes hoses ect ect

before cleaning

fitted polly bushes to tie rods,trailing arms ect ect

got some gaz coilovers with 7" rear springs . got busy fitting them

new bearings ,shoes, braided brake lines ,cylinders and handbrake cable

next job is bleed brakes n fit wheels and adjust the shocks. hope it sits ok
