Car: 2010 Ford Focus RS
Grab yourself the RS1800 and ecu and chuck that in as standard. you'll prolly save yourself a few bob doing it that way.. I bought a written off RS1800 for £900 and sold most bits off it for about £700. I used the engine, wiring, ecu and Recaros in my project car, so for the price of 2 recaros I got a new (50k) engine.
Changing the air filter alone I found tends to make it run a little lean so you really need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I coudln't be bothered what with other problems so just went back to the standard one. I've also got a fully custom built stainless system from long life, this could also be making things a little lean, but I'm not totally sure at the moment.
Next on my list is a big valve head from my friend at Puma Racing, he's also hopefully going to get some cams reprofiled for me. I believe a customer of his who is doing a lot of work on zetecs has got some profile perfect for road (not race) use so should give good torque figures across the range. Of course I could run that on standard map, but not really much point so will go for a DTA, which I hope to get setup with Wayne Schofield of Chip Wizards, not had any dealing with him, but a mag review and some emails we've exchanged have been positive (he can also reprogram the ford unit with a plug in if anyone is interesteD)
