xr2i 8v exhaust problems
Hiya Guys,
Ive got a problem with my exhaust and its really pi55ing me off now, Ive got a scorpion back box with a std system the rest of the way to the engine. The problem is that the std part of the system sags down really low and my part of town is infected with speed bumps, which makes it scrape really bad. Now I think its blowing at a joint near the front which is on springs, its sounds awful when accelerating! I took it to kwik fit so they could put it back up but they didnt do anything, only tighten up a bolt! I thought that they would have but a rubber exhaust mount or something!!!! So my question is...can I put a metal jubilee clip around something up the car to lift it up or is there just nothing there to tie it to?
Sorry for the essay about a stupid exhaust
Cheers
Mark

The exhuast hasn't been fitted properly.
You need to get underneath, undo the middle section clamps and twist exhaust back into place. Re-tighten and the hangers near the front and to the rear of the mid section should hold it up.

Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.
