In what ways can i tune my new engine im planning,

4 Branch Maifold
Deasle Gear Box
Air filter or induction kit
Head skimmed and ported

any thing els i can do?

Beat me too it by a few days :lol: All costs at lot for not much more power tho, may be better off dropping a bigger engine in or even a turbo lump.

Unless you are running a lot of power a diesel gearbox will slow you down, not speed you up.

They require more torque!

IF you are looking to change your gearbox I recommend for an XR2i you consider an RS1800 box instead, good ratios and stronger box.

Whuh!?

The ratios are slightly longer or the same as the XR2i 8v ratios afaik, so it won't really slow you down. There isn't any more transmission power loss.

The difference is the diesel box is about 800rpm lower at 70 in 5th gear.

More than that. I have one in my car now and I noticed the difference straight away!

On the plus the 1st gear is even shorter now which leads to mental acceleration in 1st ;)
