Am i right in thinking the 8v's were 1600? Anyway, even if i am wrong, whats the kinda max power the engine can handle before things start going wrong/breaking? I mean in the form of nitrous. If the engine could handle another 50 bhp, would there be much trouble getting the power down?

I used to own a XR2i 8v, that Ian Howell @ Fiesta Frenzy worked on for me, it ended up with around 145bhp (more than enough to blow away FRST's and 1 Jag 4.0 V:cool: - with 15x7 rims it held the power down nicely and it didn't even need an uprated clutch !! NOS is ok but I would go for more permanent power like a Cam kit, ported head and chip.

If you know of Universal Salvage in Sandwich, Kent, you could always go looking for my old car and strip the bits of it
