xr2i-frst engine swap...........
have been thinking of getting out the xr2i and buying a FRST, but looking about its gunna be £ for a nice rst, and my xr2i is not rusty good condition etc etc so.......
how much effort is needed to drop a FRST engine in and get it running???? im guessing ECU to start with but LOOM????
havnt got a clue where to start, have looked about but cant make sense of exactly whats gunna need changing buying etc, will a ERST engine bolt in the same as the FRST???? if its differant will just FRST but if theyre the same might make it easier???? i really dont know please help lol!!!

if you buy a full complete Fiesta rs turbo engine just bolt it in will need ecu /intercooler/rad think brakes are the same? the escort is difrent all together as its mfi? so will be better just to stick with a Frst unless you find one converted to Efi
think Rawli on here is selling my old engine might be worth asking him rs_rawli as i said think he is not sure if he has sold or changed his mind but worth ago
oh and check insurance out if you havent all ready make sure you can afford it before swapping over to find it to high lol

so no wiring loom change or bits need adding on is my main worry to it!! bolting in is fine then ill just get the FRST engine and ecuswap em over (like its nothing lol) plum it all in and hay presto??? lol fuel pump all the same? things along them lines just so i know b4 not during lol

yep need a fuel pump too lol . not sure on the loom i think it needs changing have you contacted rawli? he might do a good deal on engine with loom etc

im using my xr2i fuel pump no problems there, you have to change the engine loom very simple just plug the main plug into the frst ecu and then connect all the sensors etc up.
deffo use a frst engine as that has the crank sensor.
