XR2i getting arse whooped by 1.1's!!!

My XR2i does not seem to be performing as it should be, it feels to have the power, but it cant use it. a fiesta 1.1 with 3 people in it kept up with me the other day, also i raced my mate in his 1.1 fiesta and the difference was not that much . sometimes its better than others, for example i raced an XR2 flat out on the motor way and just about caught up with him, but again he had a full car. i have just had an engine rebuild aswell, could it be anything to do with that? ive done 25o miles since its been re-built<br><br> *paul*

250 miles on a rebuilt engine and its sounds like you`re ragging it?? It needs time to bed in the components depending on whats been replaced. Drive a brand new car and a few thousand miles later the engine is completly different.<br>
