XR2i idles fast and pig to start

Postby jamezz666 on Tue Jan 27, 2015 10:44 am

Hi guys, well my car which i thought i sorted, is high idling and i have gone through 4 icv, 3 throttle position sensors and i checked the throttle cable wasn't sticking, so anyway if i drive it and put the clutch in the revs will stay high until i completely stop and stand still for a few mins, then it will gradually go down? also its a baxtered to start, i have to pump the accelerator to get it started? otherwise i could spin the engine all day long.
also change the crank case breather pot.

ok cheers, i'll have a try at that. it's the 1.6 cvh engine if it makes a difference. Also it's very weird how it does it, because if i'm driving and take it out of gear or clutch in as soon as i come to a stand still, it's still revving at 2000 but when i completely stop and stand there it will eventually slow back down to normal :S
