XR2i tuning

Postby crisXR2i on Tue Dec 21, 2004 3:31 pm

For all of you guys that have tried and tested these methods, can you please give me some advice, contacts and oppinions that may help me decide what route to go down with my 2i.

Many thanks.

1.6 8v EFi CVH XR2i 1991

Im considering a Piper or kent cam for it - which ones are best?
(I want the power to be at the lower end of the rev range, for around town use and off the lights power etc).

Does anyone make a quickshift for the 2i?

Are Ashley manifolds and exhaust systems any good, and do they increase power?

with all those bits done to a standard well looked after XR2i engine, what power will it be producing (roughly).....

the car is also to be stripped out, roll cage fitted and two lightweight bucket seats also fitted to it.

I've alswayed used Kents cams myself, been told they have been machined better than piper cams??

Ashley manifold's are o.k but you would be bettr off with a maniflow manifold 01722 335378, they can make you one in stainless or mild steel to any spec you like.

Burton power do a s**t aswell as B&M, Demon tweeks and Rally Design's
