as above, basically will the buggar fit? mate says i can have em for free and since the brandnew i want them lol

Manifold won't fit at the downpipe to centre section join usually, but a bit of welding will sort it in most cases.

Gearbox will fit but it is probably older, and won't give your car any longer legs although the ratios may be a little shorter which is crap for M-way cruising but great for racing off the lights (not that I condone that behaviour... or anything... ummm :D).

Ive got a different gearbox in my 2i, but don't know what its out of, is the a number i can look for and where would it be?

Check the top of the bellhousing casting for numbers and also try and find a small stainless steel tag which is fitted to most gearboxes during production. This can usually be traced by Ford to identify the box, and what's inside it...
