Fit smaller wheels, remove spoilers, remove interior, remove dash, remove unnecessary bodywork panels (I especially like removal of tailgate, doors, bonnet, wings and roof).

i have a 2i 16v matey, despite what people say, i have a full system from ahsley (50 quid ) super chip, induction, 2.0 mondeo throttle body and the 2.0 tb make the diff, but you need an rs1800 or escort xr3i 16v ecu mine has a chip so i havent bother but i [ERRR] be loads nicer with a 130 ps ecu, next steo would be a fast road cam kit, i will be getting rs1800 fast road cams for mine soon so that should take her around 130-135 bhp if i ever get the rs1800 ecu,
basically to make her rs1800 spec(ish)
rs1800 ecu/ escort xr3i 16v ecu
2.0mondeo throttle body(or rs1800/ xr3i 16v)
rs1800/xr3i 16v cams
there are some other differences but that is the main ones that you can do yourself and then you should see 125bhp ish
