zetec pistons flush with bottom end ? who knows

Problem or technical question?

zetec pistons flush with bottom end ? who knows

Postby Razer on Mon Jun 08, 2015 7:28 pm

Who knows if the pistons of a zetec silvertop are flush with the bottom end of the engine or just a bit higher
Mine rs1800 pistons are a bit higher the the bottom end.

Want to know for sure if this is correct after the engine died when driving.
If the need to be flush with the bottom end, what could be the problem?

They're usually about 0.5mm above the block (roughly) assuming the block and pistons have never been touched.

My catalyst did melt and filled up the flexi pipe.
Then 2 bangs and everything stopped working.
Inletpipe was off the throttlebody and it leaked cooliant
