Is it posible to take away the pipes on the exhaust maifold,the shiny and rusty ones? think its called puls air and makes the exhaust cleaner at cold start up(I think!!) Or will the engine not work without this??

Edit:I have now got my hands on a Haynes Manual.
Planing on fitting throttel bodies and dont know what to do with all the sensors and the ecu.Ennyone fitted throttel bodies to a Zetec engine??

Yes its possible to take it off, Ford sell them:

Blanking plugs - FINIS 6732263

Copper Washers - FINIS 1008597

I know jay (xfactor) has Throttle bodies on his 2L engined RS1800 You would need an aftermarket engine management like OMEX to run Throttle bodies so its not a cheap conversion but its well worth it

It is going to be hell of a lot cheaper than the turbo project I started.
Planing on getting the complete kit from burton with the omex management. Also I wanted a performence manifold and exhaust and to get rid of the puls air system. Ennyone have a pic of the convension
with the 2 litre on throttle bodies? Going to put my 2.1 zetec engine together soon,just waiting for some parts and was wondering how it loocks when its all put together in the car.....
