zetec S rear beam (axel) on mk3 xr2i

I heard of A lot people putting zetec S rear beams on xr2i 8v mk3 but what the differance does it improve handling is A straight swap is it worth doing ?

Improves handling, stiffens the back end up. Is a straight swap if you find one with the correct shock mountings, and leave drums on the back.

someone said the puma one is better cos it's wider but does anyone know by how much ? and would the tyre's rub on 195/45 r15's could you get away with it if you rolled the arch's ?
