Zetec-S swirl pot and header tank

Postby DorsetZS on Fri Aug 08, 2003 1:19 pm

ML Developments sell these for the zetec-s and I am thinking of buying them, what benfits do they have over o.e parts apart from stronger and blingin !! Also, how do I plumb in the swirl pot and when changing the header tank and hoses for samcos, can I just swap them or will i be covered in liquid, whats the best method ?

you've gotta drain all of the coolant off first.. then unbolt the header tank and then remove all of the hoses and replace the hoses... and the header tank.

then you line up the swirl pot along side the top hose and cut a bit out of it so that the swirl pot fits in it!

job done! :D

oh and a header tank increases the pressure in the cooling system so increases the boiling point and the swirl pot remover air bubels so stops localised boiling!

yeah it goes in line of the top rad hose to the block!

dont need to attatch it to anything else as it holds it there perfectly well!
