Zetec turbo or CVH turbo??
I am looking for a complete engine conversion on my XR2i next spring and I have one big question.
How much would it cost for 200bhp worth of zetec turbo and CVH turbo, and what is the best choice for further tuning at a later date to even bigger powers? (300bhp +).
Could the bottom end and head be modified in advance ready for more power upgrades at a later date?
Thanks
Warren

to get 200bhp from a CVH is not that difficult, even keeping the std 1.6lts.
For 200bhp the CVH is cheaper than zetec turbo.
The thing is that you want more power in the future, and the CVH starts to become difficult to tune over 200bhp and get 300+, even geting it a 1.9lts bloc. Zetec turbo is now by far the best option.

Here you can see moondust zetec turbo spec. It seems that with this spec you can go up to 280bhp.
If you can afford... go zetec turbo mate!
