Food for thought there guys - I'm not the 'knob', 'gammon slipper' and '5hithead' people in here like to label me as. I'm quite reasonable really, and I don't mind discussing relevent topics.
With all due respect (not much), have you noticed that I stopped replying to your non-sense ages ago (way before mou3432432 or whoever started posting what they did today - although alot of us found it extreamly funny ) why..... simple - I haven't got time for your and mou3242423's non-sense talk. Think what you like klownmaster (fact of the matter is that it's not just me that thinks you and emu3424324 chat cr@p) - Like I said I don't bother wasting my time on this thread.
Carry on both of you with your cr@p, it is very amusing (you seem to be remarkably good at making pr@ts of yourselves - I'll leave you to it) - don't expect any replies from me on this subject (as before).
Sunny.
Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.

Forking hell.
I just read this lot up to page 7 then I just came to the end so I could say this :
PACK IT IN !
FFS This is meant to be a friendly place.
This guy comes onto the board, posts msgs about his engine etc etc. If he wants to race and other peeps are up for it then race him. Not for "pink slips" or some other F&F bullsh!t (Thos 'tis a kewl film ) but for fun and to see if he can back up his claims about his engine.
Lets let the proof as it were, be in the pudding.
On the Jim Hearne subject tho - that msg wasn't in the least bit nice. Not a single solitary polite thing to say. If I had posted something like that (not that I would) I'd defo be writing an apology for going off on one at him like a total "gammon slipper" (cos in my opinion that what the writer did).
Maybe it's time we asked Ade to make a "Flame Room" forum so that when threads get nasty or out of hand they can be moved in there out of the way of the rest of us who just want to enjoy the board and chat to our mates.

Jim Hearne mate.
Just because someone goes a certain way of achieving an end something doesn't mean that particular way is the wrong one. Sunny has gone one route, Jim has gone another and meo wants go another way entirely.
The tone of the email on that site is (in my opinion) quite belligerent, to the point of being rude. While everyone is entitled to an opinion, there are better ways of expressing those opinions than to simply lady of the night off somebody elses work.
I know that personally, had I received that mail, I would have kicked off good and proper at the sender - I would not have been very happy to have received somethign of that nature and I would have almost certiantly posted the message somewhere public so that everyone else could form their own opinions about the sender, a little Like Jim has.

Whoah there !
I reckon everyones given everyone else enough poo as it is. No need to go jumping down my throat man - if you have a beef with me take it to email or pm - lets not waste the rather expensive server space Ade has to pay for.
I have read the thread from the beginning, well nearly, I read it to page 7 (I mentioned this in an earlier post) before jumping to the end and writing my 2nd post.
If people lady of the night you off, right, of course you are going to have something to say about it. I don't recall lady of the nightging yourselves off (aside from the gammon slipper comment relating to Jim Hearne) nor have I lady of the nightged off your ideas or concepts. I am not in a position to do so - I know little of engine mechanics but I do know a heckuva lot about microcontroller programming and engineering - even if I do say so myself.
Going to the "knobhead" comment, if you have the time, facilities and skill to flow a head yourself then good for you. But to slate those who HAVENT got these things (ie ME!) and for whom their only real option is to pay somebody to do it is a bit prattish IMO.
It doesn't make someone a "knobhead" just becausethey chose a particular route. I ain't saying that if someone is giving you sh!t you shouldn't respond - you should - but I dont think it's smart to instigate lady of the nightging sessions.
BTW that isn't directed particularly at you - everyone should take heed - starting flame wars ain't big or clever and to do it on here is thoughtless 'cos it's costing someone money.
As I said before, I reckon the best thing to do is to leave it for the pod. Then (as I said before) the proof will be in the pudding.
At this point I reckon Ade should lock the thread 'cos this convo isn't going anywhere.

Nahhh m8, its not particularly directed at me0, it's just an attitude I seem to find in people these days - the "YOU SHOULD DO IT LIKE THIS IF YOU DON'T YOU'RE A PRATT" mentality - usually from university students and lecturers.
OK so that way works, it doesn't mean its the best way and besides everyone has different opinions anyway as to what is "best".
I've worked on loads of different projects in the past - often utilising technologies in a manner they were not specifically designed for.
I still think me0's email was uncalled for. This was really all i was saying. I hope you don't think I was having a go at you personally and if thats the way I came across then I apologise sincerely for that was the impression I was trying to give.

Again you lot are arguing irrellivent points again, get with it.
Oh sunny, if your not going to reply (as said in past 30+ posts) then why do comments from you keep poping up? Hmmmm.... solution, wants to "try" and look "cool" everytime he posts.
Andymac, shut up, when Jim answers questions posted to him then you can chat back to me, he paid someone to build him an engine for £££ and writes a web page on something he knows nothing about, do you want to see the crazy replies he gave for reasons of modification, pure guesses on why the engineer did the work I think. (oh £700 on a head job??? could have spent that on making a 16v turbo, that was my point)
Oh and my solicitor is looking into sueing his ass for the data protection act being as he has posted my mail and e-mail adress.
I like to see the way the power figure goes up and up all the time, from my quoted 400-450hp it is now 500+hp, shut up custom boy you lose.
freak power, you do suck co(k. Look at the spec, react to the situation and think about it, then come back abuse me when you don't know the answer. You, like sunny are comparing different engines, there are ways to do things, they have taken the STANDARD way and paid $hit loads to get 850hp, I've taken a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ROUTE and paid jolly flip all for 400-450hp. The problem with my way is EVERYTHING HAS TO BE REDESIGNED.
An what the jolly flip were they cutting diamond for? Oh what you really meant was a steel carbide cutter weren't you, but you forgot, or didn't know.
Oh being as they got an indy car garret turbo they probably got it off my mates dad, being as he sells the turbos to the indy teams, but then that kind of contact couldn't get me a turbo could he now?
Blow off valve? What are these? Oh STANDARD TURBO CAR PARTS, I forgot sorry.
From what I can see it would be quick, but for £££££, this is the whole point. No mention of lag times or cooler sizes or anything of interest really, just a LIST OF COMPONENTS that mean nothing unless vital information is given, which I predict they haven't given you, is there a site for this? I'd like to see it and then I could post some info on how they got that kind of power, I have an idea but it would make it a $hit road car.
Thank you for everyones comments, I do try to respond to all of them but most of the for-mentioned posts needed to be replied to as they have the wrong end of the stick. Also known as the "poo moving end".
Again, any constructive mails should be posted to me, or ones with questions to my email, so as they don't get lost within the sunny & co page.
Oh, still chickening out sunny?

Err me0...
I have been nothing but polite so far but all you appear to do is continue to try and incite people on the BB.
So the bloke spends 700 quid on a head job. SO WHAT. It ain't your money. THATS MY POINT. You do what you wanna do man, but dont go sl@gging of others for doing the same. I have mentioned that my comments re sl@gging folks off apply to everyone who has been at it in this thread. Like I said it ain't big and it ain't clever.
And finally some quotes.....
"Andymac, shut up,"
meo, you can go kiss my big fat hairy ass
"when Jim answers questions posted to him then you can chat back to me,"
Whats this got to do with the price of fish ? Perhaps the guy thinks you're a pratt after sending him that mail and wishes no further contact ?
" he paid someone to build him an engine for £££"
His choice, not yours. You wanna go another way, so go for it.
" and writes a web page on something he knows nothing about,"
Well, it is his motor and if he's proud of her then does it really matter if some of the subject matter is inaccurate.
" do you want to see the crazy replies he gave for reasons of modification,"
Why not, so long as the people on the bb aren't going to see a tirade of abusive emails...
" pure guesses on why the engineer did the work I think. (oh £700 on a head job??? could have spent that on making a 16v turbo, that was my point)"
BUT DID HE WANT TO ? NO ? WELL THEN TO QUOTE YOURSELF "SHUT UP"....
"Oh and my solicitor is looking into sueing his ass for the data protection act being as he has posted my mail and e-mail adress.
"
Oh good luck in suing him man ! For crying out loud this is the most childish thing I have heard yet.
For a start, when you sent the mail you sent it out onto a PUBLIC network, hence publishing you email address in the PUBLIC DOMAIN. Every server that message passed through will have retained a copy of your return address and quite possibly the message itself. I doubt very much you used any form of encryption or encoding (other than MIME) which means the message was sent in a plain text format.
Not to mention you've willingly published you email address on the ft bb anyway.
And you want to sue Jim Hearne for making you look like a prick ? Dude, you done that yourself already.

I've just read this pic the whole way thru' and I've got several comments.
Firstly, it seems my photoshop comp pic was shown sumwhere, but it appears to have v*nished I'm chuffed sum1 thought it was good enough to use here cheers whoeva that was!
Secondly, and this goes to me0, I will lay no claim whatsoever to knowing anything at all about engines (why do you think I never venture into the tuning section?!) but I do think you could b a little less inciteful and arrogant in the way you put your points across... comments like 'Excursion, go into the corner and face the wall cos your comments are bullsh1t', or words to that effect, do NOT make people respect you or take what you're saying seriously (and thats just one of many). Had you been a little less arrogant in the way you put your points across, and had you not told every1 that they were talking bull, maybe they wouldn't have all jumped on you and told you that you were talking bull. You may say 'Yes but Sunny said the same sort of thing' but Sunny is a respected member of the board, and has proven his car. You've just joined and we don't even know what your car looks like, so the best thing you can be doing now is most certainly NOT coming in here and telling everyone they're talking spork.
Thirdly, and I just have to ask this, because it's been bugging me throughout reading this post, is your real name Leon?
And fourthly, and this is directed at everyone generally, I've just eaten omelette and it was really nice.

THIS WHOLE ARGUMENT STARTED WHEN SUNNY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE WORD STANDARD, NOT MY FAULT. PEOPLE INSTANTLY JUMP IN WITH THIER "MY MATE BAJOO, HATLAND, BLAH BLAH BLAH, REALLY MET HIM AT THE POD HE TRIED TO IGNORE ME BLAH BLAH" AND STARTED CALLING ME STUPID, TW&T, CUSTARD ORGANIC ENGINE BOY. DO THESE COMMENTS GET ANALYSED? NO, WHY BECAUSE NONE OF YOU UNDERSTAND, THIS IS PROVEN BY THE FACT OF NUMEROUS E-MAILS I HAVE RECEIVED FROM PEOPLE WHO GIVE A $HIT ABOUT TUNING AND ACTUALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF OR ARE WILLING TO LEARN.
SUNNY HAS NOW BACKED OUT OF ANY COMPETITION PUT TO HIM AS HE FEELS HE IS "TOO GOOD" TO WASTE FUEL. OR KNOWS HE IS BEAT!
DO ANY OF YOU KNOW THE WAY MY ENGINE WORKS? NO, DO I KNOW HOW YOURS WORK? YES. SO YOU ARE IN NO POSITION TO COMMENT ON IT.
AS TO THE E-MAIL THING, DO THE SERVERS PUBLISH MY EMAIL ON A SITE SAYING "HERES A SMALL PART OF A CONVERSATION THAT MAKES ME LOOK GOOD, ABUSE ME0U021E WITH MAIL". I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT A NUMBER OF PEOPLE MAILED ME, WERE SET STRAIGHT ON THE SUBJECT AND AGREE WITH ME WHEN ENLIGHTENED TO THE WHOLE STORY. OH AND ANDY, GOT A CAR? WANT TO RACE? COME TO THE POD, I WANT TO SHOW ALL YOU HOW A REAL ENGINEER BUILDS AN ENGINE/CAR. NONE OF THIS MODIFYING STANDARD CR&P.
GOT ANYMORE IRRELIVENT THINGS YOU WAMT TO POST REGARDING A ZETEC TURBO ENGINE AS THE COMMENTS YOU LOT SEEM TO MAKE ARE.
OH AND THE COMMENT TO EXCURSION ABOUT FACING THE WALL WAS IN REGARD TO HIS ABUSIVE "CORRECTIVE" COMMENT HE MADE THAT WAS INFACT INCORRECT. UNLESS POSTS REGARDING THE ENGINE ARE POSTED I FEEL THE SAME IN THAT THIS POST SHOULD BE DELETED OR LOCKED FROM ANYMORE CR&P BEING PUT UP. LIKE YOU LOT KEEP SAYING,
OK so that way works, it doesn't mean its the best way and besides everyone has different opinions anyway as to what is "best".
BUT KEEP SAYING I HAVE "CHOCOLATE CRANK ETC" , COME ON KEEP IT FAIR LITTLE BOYS

Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.

tut tut tut tut - For a minute klownmaster I thought you actually said something inteligent a couple of posts back but then my mistake - haha! (should of known it wouldn;t last too long )
I will carry on and ignore childish remarks (children will be children).
It's far better talking about omelette's than talking about engine's with you two (it makes more sense). Then again your typical reply would be "I can make bigger omelette's than you and my gas cooker operates at higher charge temps than yours!" -
By the way it seems that Mou4543543543's and your mentality's (as usual) have really boosted everyone's opinions on you both further more (pity it's down hill still).
Good luck chaps
Sunny.

you see, me0, that's what I'm getting at, you don't need to be so bloody arrogant about it! People wouldn't have called you anything if you hadn't have been so arrogant in the first place and this is what I'm saying!
OH AND THE COMMENT TO EXCURSION ABOUT FACING THE WALL WAS IN REGARD TO HIS ABUSIVE "CORRECTIVE" COMMENT HE MADE THAT WAS INFACT INCORRECT.
OK, I don't dispute that there was perhaps a valid reason for what you said, that's not my point, my point is that you didn't have to put it in quite such an arrogant way as you did... it was because of THE WAY YOU SAID IT that people jumped down your throat!
There's a guy in the general discussion forum who's put up a post about a twin turbo diesel fiesta that makes some amazing claims. Yet nobody disputed that outright, because we haven't seen it yet... and why was the reaction there different to here? because they guy who posted it wasn't arrogant about the way he said it! This should serve to show that we're prepared to keep an open mind if the person doesn't come in lording it about the place and being up themselves.
OMELETTE UPDATE:
Just had bangers and mash. Wasn't as nice as the omelette lastnight. Omelette cravings setting in.
Omelette Fact #142
If your omelette has pasta in it, it's technically called a frittata... maybe this is common knowledge, but if you didn't know that already, well you do now.
Happy omeletting, ppl!
