Zetec turbo Water Temperature sensor

Postby phil_pearce on Wed Apr 22, 2009 12:46 pm

Im in the Final stages of fitting my Zetec turbo to my FRST and I would like to know what others have done about the water temperature sensor which feeds the instrument panel inside the car. The standard CVH sensor is in the head on the front, but I dont know where this is on the zetec. Does anyone have any ideas as i really wanna keep the dial working.

Thanks

Is that the one on the top of the thermo state? I was going to use that for the temperature sensor which on the CVH goes into the Inlet Manifold. I guess I could join the wires so they take the same feed. Should this work?

I will have to source one of these switches and mount it into the radiator hose as I now dont think the sensor on the thermostate will give the correct signal for the fan.

the cvh water temp sensor fits the zetec thermostat housing.
i used the bottom sensor on the thermostat housing for my temp gauge and the top sensor for my ecu.
