zetec turboing question

Postby danfezSi on Tue Aug 17, 2004 5:48 pm

i read an interesting article that said that the focus rs manifold can be fitted onto zetecs.

in doing so a turbo can be mounted very easily.

so by sticking a small turbo to give a small amount of boost... say 5 psi would any noticable gain be made without having to strengthen internals, remap the ecu etc

Hi,

No 5psi is not very safe, 3psi is more like it.

Anyway, for the price of a Focus RS exhaust manifold + turbo... you could probably do a complete budget turbo build (spacer plate + OFAB/OFAC) running 10 psi >__<
