ZetecTurbo - Mega Squirt ?
Hello!
Is MegaSquirt can be used successfully in implementation of ZetecTurbo engine as ECU? Is anyone tried before and what is the result? On Megasquirt site says that it's fully capable to run turbo engine pretty good. Also that ECU can be tuned with computer/laptop at home! Give me some ideas for other DIY cheap EFI for runing ZetecTurbo. MegaSquirt can be build for less than 100$.

Interesting stuff!
Is there anywhere you can buy the PCB?
I have no equipment at home to print my own PCB

Yes, that is Megasquirt! I'm plan to run my 1.8 Zetec turbo on that stuff and looking for people that already done this. In USA they build HUGE turbo engines like 3.8L or 4.2 with that ECU. So?
PCB's and partial kits (PCB, a programmed HC08 ECU, 3 Bar MAP sensor - Motorola - MPX4250 and a MC34151P FET driver - just for 60$!!!) can be purchased via website.

Hi,
This guy, http://www.msefi.com/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=166 , has got it installed for a 2.0 Zetec on throttle bodies You might want to ask him.
And please please let me know your progress!!
I am super interested, being an electronics hobbyist, full-time programmer and now a car enthusiast

Well actually it is a MegaSquirt for EDIS special edition
Such as FRST.
But it should be applicable too apparently.

Yes it is got to be the best or easiest to use MegaSquirt for Zetec Turbo
Keep EDIS for ignition, and use MegaSquirt for fueling (with a bunch of goodies like shift light, digital speedo etc) with minimal changes to the car and minimal work (except the actual mapping).
Gotta be good.
