Zoo lower arms/Rose jointed adjustable ones

Postby freak power on Mon Dec 15, 2008 9:07 pm

Seeing Zoo is no longer trading and the only rose jointed lower arms on the market are Area six ones and they are only adjustable for camber to a small amount

Would anyone be interested in some tubular rose jointed camber & caster adjustable lower arms, these ones will have more adjustment than the zoo one?

these would be easy enough to make up, so shouldnt be too expensive.

Not as simple as you think as the right rose joints to use don't come cheap and there offering more adjustment than the zoo ones so thats more expense

One more thing is that they will be CNC machined so you will be looking at a price a bit more than the zoo ones witch were £350

As I mentioned in my PM regarding the rear beam a while ago I would be interested in these. Would there be any discount for purchasing a rear beam and wish bones together?

the bearings are not expensive http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.php? ... dhjplee4q7

tubular isnt something you cnc machine, i looked at making up completely adjustable lower arm, and i reckon i could have dont it for around 150 quid a set.
using roughly those spec rod ends, and ally tubing to make up the frame of the arm

Rally design's Clubman rose joints are S**t, they done have the right load rating and wrong max angle, There cheap for a reason. i would never get the Clubman rose joints and use them for anything needed at high load .

Well they wouldn't be made from tube but from billet for strength, Ok i did a miss type.

You make your own then.

Makavell i'm sure a price can be arranged for both

tube is perfectly acceptable for lower arms aslong as it was correctly speced!

Just a high grade steel

They will not be made out of tube, they will be machined from solid bars on a CNC

seemless tube is better than solid bar and also cheaper by the time you have had it cnc'ed, bit pointless having it cnc'ed in terms of cost time for no gain at all!

if same grade material is use as would have been used in bar then it will be alot heavier and wont be any stronger.

You haven't seen the design, they need to be solid bars, if i used seamless tube then welding would be needed for this design.

I don't see trader status and this doesn't look like a group buy since there's no price breaks mentioned. Please either sort out trader status by PM'ing AdrianFRST (entitling you to trade as you see fit on the forums) or publicise the group buy pricing by editing your original post.

Cheers,

Andy.
