ZS - SOLD
Re: ZS - update 24/1/11
jayrs :coming on nice mate.
maybe the bar is there on that boot flor to ensure the sprae wheel doesnt move around? maybe it clamps up against it, although i cant see the need for it as ford would just make different wheel trys like they did on the mk3, so if its not for that, i dunno
could be only thing i can think of stop it htting the floor. it wired because theres only a bolt to hold it on at one end, the other it just slots into a whole and is loose within the whole

Tbh they must have under rated them seen plenty of zs on rolling roads making 115hp standard in fast ford mag,
The 1.6 se is a hidden gem imo, I'd have one over the 1.7

Re: ZS - update 24/1/11
jonyb4 :Tweek :Jony, your 1.8 is only 130 spec, wouldn't say it has "more power"
Cossie/ST brakes coupled with braided lines are good for track and emergency stopping
someone failed maths...
130spec= 130ps at factory, the Zetec s has 99-105ps depending which year it is, therefore it has less
Ive never seen a 130 spec zetec make 130, in standard form.
Im sure we could all enjoy quoting estimated bhp all day. I suspect yours and Tobys would turn out to be nearly the same bhp if they were rolling roaded.

Re: ZS - CLEANED 4/2/11
well i finally decided to wash the zs today. i washed my mums the other day and it just looked so bad next to it. hadnt washed it since i last detailed it and posted the pics up on here.
i only rinsed it and shapoo'd it the dry'd it. from were i detailed it last time the dirt came straight off and was left with an awesome finish again.
before all dirty
quick wash and rinse
then after using some dodo juise shampoo and drying, all clean!
also i picked up some fiesta st brakes the other day so hope to fit them at the weekend, and i picked up a new areil from the same bloke as mine was all cracked.
old one on the left
fitted
so should have another update soonish

Aww, thanks
Toby, do you know how much your rear springs lower it by? Like, are they meant to be -35mm, -40mm or something?

ST brake fitting photos
Steve undoing the wrong wheel
Mad camber
Fitting the most annoying clip ever
Respraying the front grille. Its all in the prep work
Next area for spraying masked off
Hammer bought into the equation
Brakes on
Hoses on
Brake fluid is required to bleed the brakes, off to the shops
I waited on a brick
With the floating car
Smo turned up
Brakes bled, pondwater out
Steve enjoyed pressing the pedal
Brakes on
Back from bluewater, trying on the show wheels
Poke
Smo wanted them for his new project
Then we all went home
