I love your updates, I think you should take some pictures of you all out and about. A sort of winter/spring lifestyle catalogue.

Re: ZS - Serviced + paint 6/3/11
some pics of yesterdays progress and antics
first off henry came round and we serviced the zs,
new oil and filter,
new fuel filter
and plugs
the air filter i got with the air box at the scrappy was almost new so didnt swap that
draining the oil
new oil filter and sump plug genuine FoMoCo
old old with what we think is the wrong size filter
old plugs
and what they were replaced with
new fuel filter, old one had no doubt never been replaced was all rusty and corroded
then on to painting the rear bump strip, front is done but we didnt get any pics for some reason
henry and steve prepping
and primering
and trying to aviod the fumes
finished primering yesterday and have started with the colour today so more updates to follow

It was a pretty productive day for a change! I've got a few pics of the updated front trim. I'll email them to you later.
You forgot to update about overtaking a 206 gti that evening though, and pizza hut/film/Henry falling asleep.

The zetec engine can use either EFL600 or the EFL10
1119421 = EFL600 big oil filter
1455760 = EFL10 smaller filter

Re: ZS - finished painting 16/3/11
right bumpstrips have been both finished and on now for a week. i took one off at a time so i could take me time with each one.
i have also fitted the original dealer plates that luckily were still with the car when i got it, as i didnt like the crappy plates with the ford logo at the side. look miles better and cleaner
new/old plates
on the car with the new paint work
also to finish the rear off with the new paint and plates i bought some led bulbs for the number plate lights, hard to get a pic of just how bright they are compared to standard sidelights bulbs
personally love the colour and it goes well with the black the rear centre caps arent on in the pics i no i need to respray all centre caps. the colour is a bit marmite and gets a lot of head turning and funny looks

Re: ZS - finished painting 16/3/11
Sorry dude, personally I'm not sure it works very well
Perhaps if you did more bits in that colour it might work a bit better? As long as you like it though thats the main thing

Re: ZS - finished painting 16/3/11
its out there to cause a reaction, to be different. most people always plays it safe go for a colour they have already seen or already knows that it wil work. example being most mk5 zs with other colours are green and theres a lot of them.
i no people arent going to like it and as stated i love it
cream ftw

Needs more beige bits. Brake callipers would be a good move to start with. Beige badge with black writing? Mirrors? Door handles?

Re: ZS - finished painting 16/3/11
I wasn't really sure about the idea of the cream at first. But I guess if your trying to make a difference and shizz, then to finish it off all I can say is do the roof and get some nice shiney, wide alloys and spray the centres cream, finito!
