Is standart(N/A) ring gaps are good for Turbo engine? May be for turbo conversion gaps must be a bit bigger than N/A?

When i do them i do them to 18 thou and piston to bore clearance of 1 thou over manufacturers spec just so there's no chance of skirt drag as a turbo engine produce's alot more heat then a N/A engine.
