what would the compression ratio be from using the std 2 litre zetec e bottom end and using the cvh head un moddified the head is from a h reg 2i

im after running it safe so i can run a turbo

it will be a high compression ratio, safe only for low boost, fit a decompression plate or get the pistons skimmed if your cheap or buy proper oversized pistons and get the block bored

Shouldn't skim the 2 litre pistons and decomp plates are at best a bit bodgey. Some people have used Vauxhall C20 LET pistons and had the rod reworked to accept them.

yeah, LET pistons are cheap, forged, lower the compression ratio and increase capacity, little end just needs widening for gudgeon pin

most god machine shops should charge no more than 100 for the lot, i know ian howells ( area six) charges around 80
