ZVH Fuel Management

Postby Nicfish on Mon Jun 15, 2009 4:10 pm

Got a 1.8 ZVH
T3 turbo
Beige injectors

Its on the standard management so runs a little rich. Looking into getting proper fuel management. Got a quote from the guys down ABC Motorsport for a remap etc who were really helpful.

Just wondering what everybody else is using or any recomendations?

I've got a 1800 zvh, but only running a T2. Still have the standard ecu but with a custom Evo chip by Motorsport Developments.

Are you running a superchip or something? Thats what I had before the msd chip and it ran very rich.

No superchip as I am aware. I will double check though.

Pretty much is a custom chip gonna be my best choice?

Depends what your budget is really? So you have beige injectors with no chip what so ever?

Yeah this is why i want to get the re-map done asap!

I think a chip is probably going to be the best route.

Seen a few people using the 195 chip. Wouldnt this be mapped for a 1.6?

yeah this chip is for the 1.6 but if you have a dif spec give msd in blackpool a ring and give them your details and they will map the chip to suit the setup there number is 01253 508400 they sell kits inc chip 4 new 701's and uprated actuator for 500 quid my guess is 300 is injectors and actuator so around 200ish for the chip???

Little update.

After much looking I finally got a standalone ECU fitted.

Really glad I did. Feels like a completely different car that is far more driveable!

Ended up with a Gotech Pro X and got it mapped by Enhanced Performance. Really nice guys with plenty of experience!

The result was 213bhp at just under a bar!
