Ford Fair 2016: Cosworth & RS200
Posted: 23rd October 2016 | Author: @AdrianFRST | Photography: @AdrianFRST
Last year I wrote how the popularity of the Cosworth might have been on the decline. Happily this doesn’t seem to be the case as they were out in force at Ford Fair this year. 2017 will mark 25 years since the introduction of the Escort Cosworth and it’s great to see the cars being treated as both the modern classic they are and also the performance vehicle they were intended to be.
You can’t go wrong with a classic rally livery and the Repsol branded WRC looked great with the huge light pod and tarmc spec OZs, as did the green Mondeo. Some of you might recognise the car from many years ago. Originally built in 1994 by DJ Motorsport and Reyland’s Martin Hadland it was rolled in an accident in 2002, rebuilt by Martin in 2007 and then sold as a rolling shell in 2014. It’s now back and cleaner than ever.
