Fibresports do Escort Cossie Style bumpers, with (£170) or without (£199) the driving lamps and indicator pockets, the have also just released clear indicators for the front bumper (£50pr). The bumper is more expensive without the lights, but they cost £70, so this is the cheaper option. Another idea is to fit Si bumpers to an XR or RS.
For the rear, the Cossie version is slightly different to the Si, with a swage line pressed in. A recent trend is to re-locate the plate to the bumper and fill the tailgate. The Mk4 Si bumper has a slot in for the number plate and good bodyshops like Calder Coachcrafts will be able to weld a plate onto the tailgate and fill the joins - as shown in the re-touched photo below.
Bonnet wise, the easiest option is to fit the vented bonnet of the RST, genuine ones are impossible to find and to buy one new from Ford costs £110+vat for just the vents. Fibresports supply cut-in vents (£54) or MCRallying will do a complete bonnet (£110). Other vents, such as the Astra GSi look good, but the most bonkers idea is a genuine Impreza scoop - not cheap but certain to attract attention. MC Rallying do the scoop (£68) and the mesh vents (£59). Many euro Fiestas have a front plate on the bonnet, covering the tops of the headlights, to give a menacing scowl. These are available from Storm 'N Style in the UK, or RGM "Fox Look" eyebrows (£30) give a similar effect.
For rear wings the colour-coded RS spoiler replaces the standard black item on Si's and XR's. The optional Si wing fits above the rear light clusters and as far as I know, is only available from Ford. Various places do the Mondeo estate item for around £70 with or without brakelight. Slightly smaller is the MK6 Escort Estate RS wing, also only available through Ford Dealers. The biggest available wing is The Colourworks' Typhoon, this is like a larger Mondeo item mated to the standard RS one. It's on the steep side at around £270 painted.
One of the cheapest mods is to fit clear indicators (£20) and clear square (£15) or better looking oval (£20) side-repeaters. Oval jobbies can be the Mondeo / MK4 or larger Punto types and usually require slight modification to fit. Orange oval repeaters, as fitted to late Mk3's such as the Fiesta "Classic", are available from Ford Dealers. A great deal more expensive are black / blue tinted or clear rear light clusters from Xtreme or Heathrow Motorsport (£130-£150) and Morette or Prima Racing twin lamps (£250). RGM light brows (£25) are available for front and rear lights and can be easily colour-coded.
Single wiper conversions come from Monostyle, Autotint Design and Storm 'N Style, and for the rear, you can replace it with a MK4 / Ka item or bin it and weld up the hole. Windscreen sunstrips can be custom cut at most graphics shops and add a touch of BTCC style. When it comes to mirrors DTM cup style are cheap but look crap and the M3 type, as seen on the Fibresports Pic, cost a fortune (£150-£300). Autotint design produce "Universal" ones that are cheap (£129) but require major work to fit. Alloy filler caps are either stick on (Dimma £35) or professional aircraft type (Mocal £80).
Regular contact with the law can be achive through the use of dark window tints and non-legal show type plates, although as long as you don't go for a anything darker than 22% transmission you should be ok. Plate-wise Europrint and Eurostyle fonts are road legal according to Europlates, Handel Gothic and Highlight Bold Italic are OK say XROC. Carbon plates (£30) are better than brittle plastic, and GB or IRL logos are popular.
