Wheel spacers are steel or aluminium discs that fit on the wheel hubs and space the wheel out, making it sit further out of the arch. They are used to decrease the
offset of the wheel, or to move the wheel outwards to clear suspension components or large brake calipers. Spacers are available in 2mm increments, 3mm, 5mm, 7mm and so on. It is important to note that spacing the wheel out decreases the usable length of the wheel studs, and nothing wider than 5mm should be used without fitting longer studs. |
