Year six for Fiesta In The Park and yet again a distict growth in size, helped very much by the superb weather. Cars from all over the country packed in to Wicksteed park, filling it to the brim with the best small blue ovals in the land.
We lost track of just how many cars were on the fiestaturbo.com stand, but it must have peaked at well over 100. Being the first show of the season there are always a few new additions to the stand and this year was no exeption. Chris's perfectly modded diamond white example has come so far in such a short time, beginning as a rusty 1.0 and now so expertly transformed as to be unrecognisable. Just a few final touches should see it feature worthy. Also twisting necks on it's way in was Craig "Thumbs" with his fresh-out-the-bodyshop Si in a unique shade of blue and sporting Punto headlights and one-off bodywork.
Winter wheel growth hormones seemed aplenty, with AndyBlack's FRST now displaying 17" Voodoos and a flawless stance courtesty of the right combination of spacers, springs and splitters. Sweet sixteens now adorn Sarah's Si, along with almost-factory styling touches and infallible demonstration of the "add one, take one" rule of modifying.
